The Flume Property was acquired from Bearing Resources in 2016. 100% owned by Commander.
Located 70 km north of Newmont's Coffee Gold Project and 40 km northwest from White Gold's Golden Saddle project in the White Gold District of the Yukon. The property was first staked in 1999 by Phelps Dodge who completed property wide soil sampling, rock sampling and trenching.
Most recent work on the Flume property was by Ryan Gold Corp. who completed property wide soil samples, detailed airborne geophysics and diamond drilling (9 holes, 2307m) in 2011 and 2012 costing about $3,000,000.
The results included the highlight hole F12-006 which included 2m of 5.76 g/t Au. Freeport Exploration Canada has a 2.5% NSR with a buydown provision to 1%.
Target comprises 10 km X 2 km gold and arsenic soil anomaly underlain by meta-sediments and intrusives. Gold occurs in structures associated with pyrite, arsenopyrite, galena and quartz.
Mineral exploration data collected on the Flume property has been over the period of 25 years and primarily by Phelps Dodge Corporation of Canada, Valdez Gold Inc. (Ryan Gold), Bearing Lithium, K2 Gold and Commander Resources. These work programs and the data produced have been verified as accurate by Stephen Wetherup, (current CMD.V, VPX and QP) or by those who were QP’s on the historical programs and who are “qualified persons” under NI43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. Robert Cameron and Steve Wetherup were active QP’s for Phelps Dodge as well as briefly (SW) for Valdez Gold as well as for Bearing Lithium (RC).
